The SF Family Fellowship Prayer Breakfast, SFFPB, becomes involved through invitation. We honor helping people through the guidance of Jesus Christ where commonalities are held in the worship of God.
Small Groups
Fundamental to the work of the Fellowship is the nurturing of small groups of friends who meet together to reflect on the words of Jesus, share life issues pertaining to everything related to family, and pray together. The people in these groups, who might be alienated by religious or political differences, learn to share their lives and the friendships that grow with their common grounds. In these trusted relationships the good ideas of Jesus may be processed in ways that become a part of the fellowship lives. This is one of the ways that people carry out the command of Jesus, which is to “love one another as I have loved you.”
Privacy and confidentiality are distinguished within the small groups from other interactions in everyday life. It is important for members to have a place where they can share their thoughts and feelings in a safe and cozy environment to the expansion of wisdom and empowerment that comes from this fellowship.
Purposeful Compromise
SFFFPB believes in the encouragement of compromise whenever possible. To be conformed with God through Jesus and to walk in harmony with others. People who are at peace with each other become bearers of compromisation in communities and organizations in ways that become healing and compassionate to others.
Serving God
Members in positions of leadership face many challenges: They require divine wisdom in decisions of impact; which they need further discernment on how to coordinate, and to empower those who work with them in reaching those objectives. Oftentimes, they run the risk of alienating the people that are in their lives Some involved with SFFFPB help leaders meet these challenges by encouraging them to meet with coordinates in small groups where trust and friendship can thrive. As these leaders meet, their sharing of their experience of how to serve God, strong bonds are formed, many of which last a lifetime. This sharing of experiences among great friendships helps on how to serve as leaders through God’s guide, and the responsibilities they carry towards others.
